Fujifilm is best known globally as a film, photography, and medical imaging company. In the print industry, they are a major force across inkjet printing (DIMATIX inkjet heads used in many industrial inkjet systems globally), toner production presses (Revoria series), prepress (CTP plates and chemistry), and wide-format. Their Jetpress series represents one of the highest-quality sheet-fed inkjet presses available. In India, Fujifilm presses are growing in commercial digital printing and the Revoria series is increasingly adopted by printers wanting premium toner quality.
The Heidelberg Primefire 106 (world's first B1 sheet-fed digital press) is a collaboration between Heidelberg and Fujifilm. Fujifilm provides the DIMATIX inkjet head arrays and ink system; Heidelberg provides the feeder, delivery, and Prinect workflow integration. The press is sold by Heidelberg as the Primefire 106. The Fujifilm Jetpress uses DIMATIX inkjet heads with Fujifilm's VIVIDIA aqueous inks to print on coated and uncoated paper without primer — unlike most inkjet presses that require primer or coating to prevent ink spreading on coated stocks. The result is genuinely offset-comparable print quality on standard coated papers, with the digital flexibility of no plates and variable data capability. At commercial print evaluations, Jetpress output on coated paper is frequently mistaken for offset — a claim that is difficult to make for any other inkjet system. The Revoria series is Fujifilm's toner-based production press range — launched after Fujifilm took full ownership of the Xerox manufacturing joint venture in Japan (Fuji Xerox, which became Fujifilm Business Innovation in 2021). The Revoria presses leverage Fujifilm's deep imaging technology expertise and compete directly with Ricoh Pro C7200X, Xerox Versant 280, and Konica Minolta AccurioPress C7100.

The Apeos series (launched after Fuji Xerox became Fujifilm Business Innovation) covers office and light production printing. In India, the Apeos series is the Fujifilm brand replacing older Fuji Xerox equipment in office environments. For production print, focus on Revoria and Jetpress.

Revoria for Fuji Xerox legacy customers: Many Indian print operations have older Fuji Xerox DocuCentre or ApeosPort equipment. The Revoria range offers a natural upgrade path — same Fujifilm India service relationship, upgraded technology. If your shop has Fuji Xerox heritage, Revoria is worth evaluating alongside Ricoh and Xerox for your next production press investment.
